This is a stainless steel medical tap bit used in plastic surgery for cranial and maxillofacial procedures. We received an inquiry from a customer regarding the new development of a small-diameter tap bit for use in craniofacial surgery. Because the cranium and maxillofacial region consist of hard bone and are extremely delicate areas, there was a demand for a high-precision tool with excellent cutting performance that could meet the surgeon’s requirements.

At TOKO (Special Precision Cutting Tool.com), we began by meticulously confirming the precise shape of the screw to be inserted after the tapping process during the surgical procedure. Furthermore, to achieve smooth processing even in hard bone and to maximize cutting performance, we proposed incorporating our proprietary “chamfer geometry” and “relief geometry,” which we have uniquely developed.
